CUSTARD-FILLED CORNBREAD

1 package Penguin Natural Foods Cornbread

1 cup fresh or frozen corn kernels (about 2 ears), defrosted if using frozen
1 cup heavy cream

Preheat oven to 350°. Butter an 8-inch square baking dish or pan that is about 2 inches deep. Place in oven to heat, while making batter.

Prepare cornbread batter according to package instructions. Before pouring batter into heated baking dish, stir in the corn kernels.

Transfer batter to heated dish. Pour cream into the center of the batter; do not stir. Bake until light golden brown, about 50 minutes. Serve warm.

Serves 8.
